December 28, 2004 - Shipyard

This is a view of a ship being loaded at the factories across the water from the previous two drawings (12.24 and 12.25). The channel that separates the multimillion dollar waterfront redevelopment from the factories is about 150 yards wide... It is fun to watch the boats come and go. This particular ship left just as I was finishing the drawing.

Kobe is a city with varied topography, varied ecology and publicly accessible art. The local waterfront is a favorite destination of ours for the view, for people watching, and for design critiquing. Here are a few more images of Kobe.
