January 29, 2005 - Gifts for The Throne

Thanks Kay!
When a package arrives for us the front desk slips a message in our mailbox - we got one last night that said something from BEA had arrived. BEA is the software company I have been working for off and on over the last few years. As I walked to the desk I was thinking "Huh, I wonder what that could be - tax paperwork perhaps?"

Boy was I in for a suprise - It was a copy of the Seattle Weekly, and The Stranger, fresh from Seattle - not more than 5 days old!!!

Many thanks to Kay Ishi, friend and office Manager of BEA for the fine samples of Seattle-centric Americana. It was a well thought and considerate gift. They have been added to our English literature collection, I'm using the term loosely, and currently have the highest place of honor - right next to the throne.
